This is not War

This shameful aggresion about to begin,

This is arrogant, callous, raw

Determination to crush - do not say "To win"

To win is to struggle strength against strength.

"Destroy your weapons" they boom!

They, whose weapons reach the breadth and length

Of the world, enough to doom

The earth itself. That is tyranny.

And they threaten their mighty power

To crush one single tyrant chosen from the many,

Will anyone have the gall to say "This is our finest hour"?
